US Domestic Shipping Policy
We are pleased to offer shipping throughout the United States. Here’s what you need to know about our shipping options:
- Delivery Times: Please allow 5–7 business days for standard delivery.
- Shipping Rates: Calculated based on the weight of your package. Free shipping on orders above $70.
- Free Local Pickup: Located in the San Francisco Bay Area? Select this option at checkout for free pickup.
No Tariffs or Hidden Fees
All our matcha is imported directly from Japan, and we have already covered all applicable tariffs and import duties. Your order ships from California, so you will never be charged any international fees or customs charges.
Important Note on Delays
Due to a global matcha shortage, some orders may experience delays. We will make every effort to notify you promptly if our supplier encounters any disruptions. Most items are shipped out within 1-2 business days.
Matcha Purchase Limits
To help more people enjoy the matcha during the global shortage, we kindly ask that customers limit purchases to 1 item per brand per week per household. This policy also applies to related orders (e.g. multiple orders from the same family or group to different addresses).
If multiple orders are placed to get around this limit, we will cancel all related orders so we can continue sharing our matcha fairly with everyone.

Return to Sender / Undeliverable Packages
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout.
If an order is returned to us by the shipping carrier as undeliverable, refused, unclaimed, unable to be forwarded, or due to an incorrect or insufficient address, we will issue a refund for the order value minus the original shipping charges incurred. This deduction applies even if the order originally qualified for free shipping.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable once an order has been accepted by the carrier for delivery.
If you would like a returned package re-shipped, a new shipping fee must be paid before the order is sent again.
Ujicha Matcha is not responsible for packages returned by the carrier due to address issues, forwarding issues, recipient availability, or other delivery circumstances outside of our control.
