Make your Matcha a Little More Merry

Are you looking for that perfect holiday matcha drink. I know for me that can be difficult this time of year to incorporate the fresh matcha taste into my rotation, but here are a  couple of Wintery Holiday options to bring matcha into the most magical time of the year.

So, let’s make matcha a little more merry. A splash of creamy egg nog turns your everyday matcha latte into a cozy holiday treat, with warm spices and festive cheer in every sip. And for a softer, toastier vibe, the hojicha version is basically Christmas in a mug. 

EGG NOG MATCHA/HOJICHA LATTE

-2 heaping bamboo scoops (3-4g) of Rya Samidori/ Hojicha Reserve
-45-60 mL of 176 F water⁠
-Whisk, then pour over your favorite eggnog (using Favorite Day eggnog)⁠
-Be generous with whipped cream, dust some cinnamon (cinnamon stick garnish is     optional), and enjoy!

Not as much of a fan of the Egg Nog? We did not forget about you! Try out our Peppermint Matcha Latte. We did go a little bit fancier, and used our Okumidori for this recipe. 

PEPPERMINT MATCHA LATTE 

-Sift 3-4 grams of Rya Okumidori
-Whisk with 40-60 mL of hot water at 176 F⁠
-125 mL milk of choice (using Oatly)⁠
-2 tbsp peppermint syrup (using Good & Gather)⁠
-Whipped cream + peppermint crunch sprinkles + candy cane!⁠
